On 30th December 2000 we launched into a new industry and started a retail clothing shop in the main street of Mansfield !

The shop was also our primary booking office for our trail rides, "Bluff and Beyond", while also supplying good quality and practical clothing and footwear to our riders, as well as locals and others passing through town.

In May 2002 public liability insurance proved too much and Bluff and Beyond Trail Rides came to an end.  We carried on with the shop for a few more successful years, but it was during this same time that our core business - farming - really expanded and demanded total devotion. 

So on 31st July 2005 we rode out for the last time and closed another chapter of our lives behind us.

Interesting, our first sale on opening day was a Stockhat, and low and behold, our very last sale on Sunday evening was also a Stockhat !

The journey through the retail world was exciting, as well as being a terrific learning curve.  We had a bit of fun creating our own brand of clothing, showcasing book and art launches, and also producing a documentary through the breathtaking Victorian High Country - 'The Ride to Snowy River' - available now.  All in all we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the township heart of Mansfield.
